Sometimes the road you've been traveling leads you somewhere you never expected. And sometimes, it makes you wonder what might be waiting just beyond it.
I SPENT YEARS HELPING EVERYONE ELSE REACH THEIR DESTINATION
For most of my life, helping people has been at the center of everything I've done.
I'm an educator, a mentor, a wife, a mama, and a travel advisor. I've spent more than 25 years in education and more than a decade helping travelers plan vacations and create memories.
My days were filled with raising children, school events, IEP meetings, carpools, mentoring teachers, supporting travel advisors, solving problems, and keeping everyone else's world moving.
And I loved so much of it.
But somewhere along the way, the road started to change.
THEN I STARTED ASKING A DIFFERENT QUESTION
My children were growing up. The house was getting quieter. The roles that had defined so much of my life were beginning to shift.
I wasn't starting over. But I was standing at a place in the road where I could finally look ahead and ask myself:
What's beyond this highway?
That question became more than a thought. It became the beginning of something new.
TRAVEL IS ABOUT MORE THAN WHERE YOU GO
I believe travel gives us something we don't always realize we need.
A chance to reconnect. To celebrate. To breathe. To make memories with the people we love. And sometimes, to remember a little bit of who we are outside of the roles we carry every day.
That's why I built Beyond the Highway Travel Co.
This agency is about more than booking vacations. It's about listening to your story, understanding what matters to you, and helping create a trip that feels like it was designed for this chapter of your life.
Because the best journeys don't just take us somewhere new.
Sometimes, they help us see what's ahead a little differently.
